The architectural practice of the Charlton Brown Partnership was founded in London, England, by Gavin Charlton Brown in 1981. Located in a converted Chapel in the heart of Hampstead Village, the practice is committed to achieving high quality buildings that maximise a site's or a building's full potential. Unlike many other architects, The Charlton Brown Partnership positively eschews a 'house' style, preferring to fit every building to a client's individual requirements and budget. We pride ourself on our pragmatic approach to design and to site organisation. The practice has remained as a tight team of no more than 10 people; a size that ensures our clients get a personal service and the individual attention of partners. We use the most recent developments in computer and CAD technology to deliver high levels of efficiency and accuracy in architectural design, meeting deadlines and cost budgets. We have an acknowledged reputation for winning successful planning consents on difficult and contentious sites. Over the years we have established strong links with the planning departments of many local authorities. Working with leading firms of planning consultants, structural engineers, mechanical engineers and quantity surveyors, our architectural projects have included substantial new private houses for individual clients, together with the renovation of period listed buildings in central London. We have built large commercial developments of offices and light industrial complexes, plus estate housing for development companies and local authorities.
